About Sonoscope
Unlike many other services that provide separate consults for each aspect (examination, scan, injection) Sonoscope provides all of this in the one session!
The one-stop clinic includes a physical examination a diagnostic ultrasound and if appropriate, an ultrasound-guided injection within the same session (usually half an hour).
What is Ultrasound?

Joints, tendons and muscles which is all done dynamically and in real time!
At Sonoscope this isn’t just a stand alone scan but it is combined with the clinical expertise of the examiner. This combination is very powerful allowing accurate diagnoses and accurate treatment.
Why use Ultrasound guided injections?
The main reason for injecting under Ultrasound guidance is accuracy. Many studies have shown it to be much more accurate to unguided injections. With increased accuracy there is also better effectiveness of the injection.
Ultrasound guided injections are also much saver as structures such as nerves and blood vessels can be seen and avoided. Better accuracy and safety also result in less discomfort. Guided injections avoid pain sensitive structures and injections are therefore less uncomfortable.
